In this video presentation we will talk about back safety prevention of injuries.

Know the weight of the Load- Know your limitations
Sizing up the load can you lift manually or will you need help. For example team lifting or the use of mechanical equipment.
Location, that the load is coming from. For example hard to reach place, overhead, is it in a tight area, lifting out of a container etc. You want to position yourself as close to the load as possible. Maintaining center of gravity which is around your belly button area.
What is the destination point. Do you have to carry up stairs, uneven surfaces, in and around tight cluttered areas, long distance. Consider special precautions necessary to help prevent undue stress on your back. Know your end point – where is it is going.
Knowing the route to follow. Is it awkward, uneven surfaces, any trip hazards. Check the path from start to finish
