Safety Talk – Confined Spaces

This is a video to provide awareness on Confined Spaces. This does not replace the need for all employees who may work in or near a confined space with formal workplace specific training. This video will discuss what is a confined space, what is a permitted confined space, some of the hazards of working in a confined space, the necessary controls for ensuring the safety of all workers, restricting access to a confined space for non-competent employees, confined space permit, rescue, PPE and rescue equipment, air sampling and air monitoring, ventilation and the need for a coordination document if there are multiple trades going to be working in or near the confined space area.
