Violence and Harassment in the Workplace

Introduction
Bill 168- A Bill adopted to amend the Occupational
Health and Safety Act to control the high
risk hazard of Violence and Harassment in
the Workplace. These changes made Violence and
Harassment in the workplace enforceable
under the Act, for the protection of workers.
As well, Violence is a Criminal Act, in which
your local police get involved under the
“Criminal Code of Canada”. Harassment Legislation
is found under the Human Rights Code.
